Like many reviews here, Maison De Camille is a little oasis away from the chaos and tourist spots of Ho Chi Minh city centre. This was our first time in Ho Chi Minh and booked our first half (3 nights) of our stay on this side of the city to experience bit more of local flavor and we really loved our stay at Maison De Camille. Highly recommend Maison de Camille for those that want to have bit of local experience and peace and quiet, and wouldn't mind a getting grab to get to District 1 and beyond. If you are looking for nightlife, tourist spots in walking distance then you may be better off elsewhere. We spent majority of the time whilst staying on this side of the river in Binh Thanh area meandering around and getting lost in many local alley ways, having an early morning walks along the streaming dividing this area from District 1 & 3, eating at local eateries, acquiring skills on road crossing Vietnamese style, visiting real authentic local markets. Landmark 81 with skyview observatory was just a short Grab away as well. There are also cute eateries and nice rooftops near by in the neighbourhood. Yet it is also a short (few minutes) and super cheap (less than 50,000 vnd) Grab away from more touristy District 1 to see tourist spots. Hotel was spotless, room and bed was super comfy, and with being on the top floor we also had nice view of the area both from our room and the common balcony. Ivy spoke perfect English and she helped us with our queries. It really is such a gem.

The staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet featured a variety of local fruits each day and offered a good range of western and local cuisines with the option to order eggs how you like them or an omelette with a selection of fillings. It was a great way to start the day and meant we really didn't need lunch while we were out. There is an excellent Pho place just down the lane and we we also enjoyed eating at the Mujo Coffee which had a great trendy vibe and was a mix between a Cafe/Bar/Pub/Restaurant. The Air Con was excellent and the bed was super comfortable. The room was very clean and well decorated and we enjoyed the netflix service. The hotel is well positioned for sight-seeing, we loved the Grab ride-share service - and never had to wait long for a car to collect us. Special call out to Ivy who saved the day when my wife realised while checking in our bags at the airport she'd unfortunately left her laptop behind in the lobby. She helped us organise a Grab car to deliver it safely to us at the domestic terminal and without delay. Thank you Ivy and to all the staff who gave us wonderful service.

It was the perfect hotel for a solo traveller who didn’t want to do extremely touristy activities — the signature room with terrace had amazing value for money. Comfortable bedroom, spacious bathroom, huge terrace. I loved how quiet the area was, whilst still having 24hr convenience stores, small Viet coffee shops and laundry services all in walking distance. Was only about 10 mins by bike into Quan/Districts 3 or 2. The staff were so helpful and friendly, particularly Florence. Loved ordering omelettes at the breakfast buffet and the general homely feel of the hotel.

The place is indeed boutique-ish, with a calm music and cozy, refined design across the building. The room is spacious and well-maintained. There’s even a microwave and a kitchen sink in the room, very convenient. The bathroom is comfortable and pleasant to use. The breakfast is wonderful, highly recommend! Florence, a receptionist, was exceptionally kind and very pleasant to communicate with. Thank her very much for her advice on the fireworks show in the city centre and where to watch it!

The location is in a very local neighborhood, which made the experience even more authentic. The amazing budget-friendly price was unbelievably low. With a scooter, we were only 20 minutes away from the more well-known city center, but there were plenty of cafés, restaurants, and a local market (without tourists!) within walking distance. It was the perfect balance of being close to the action while enjoying the charm of a quieter, local area. Highly recommend!
